Study Abroad and Play Soccer in Portugal

Sportcamptravel LLC is proud to present the program: Study Abroad and Play Soccer in Portugal. Young athletes have the opportunity to learn Portuguese language, receive a great education, live in Portugal, improve their soccer and compete against Portuguese soccer players.

Education: 

The Study Abroad and Play Soccer in Portugal program provides students with the perfect balance of training and education. Players can come for a short period of time or for the full academic year. The private school has all necessary accreditations so students can continue studying in a European or United States university. 

Athletes will continue their education in an English-speaking private school or Portuguese university. Every day, students will have school or university classes after the morning training. They will also take Portuguese language classes twice per week.

Room and Board:

All players will live on-site at the academy in a dorm with two students per room and 24/7 security. Meals will be prepared by the academy chef and provided on site. Players can also enjoy the city center in their free time, which is just a short 5-minute walk from the academy.

Soccer Training:

The field and gym are located on site, just steps from the dorms. Upon arrival, players will have individual training for a week with a coach (1-on-1). During this time, the academy coaches will evaluate a player’s soccer skills and fitness level. After one week, they will be placed to train with one of the Portuguese soccer clubs in the area.

In the morning, players will train at the academy where they will work on technique, fitness, tactics and fitness. In the afternoon, each academy player will train with a local soccer club where they will have the opportunity to train with Portuguese players and learn the Portuguese style of play.

Competition and Scouting:

The program is run by an ex-professional soccer player and soccer agent, who are focused on players’ exposure and development. Soccer players who are in the full year program will compete in Portuguese leagues and will be part of Portuguese soccer clubs, and will gain invaluable experience competing at the local and national level.
