Soccer Tryout in Lisbon, Portugal.

During these tough times, we have been faced with many challenges in our everyday lives. Soccer matches launched around Europe with one major difference: no fans. This August, Lisbon will host the Champions league, sans spectators. However, soccer is moving forward, step by step, which will give people something positive to look forward to amidst the negativity. The game of soccer has had to adapt in an ever-changing environment. Soccer agents and coaches are hungry as ever to look for new professional soccer players, so now is a great time to participate in a tryout.

According to the latest update from the EU, as of July 1, European nations (all members of the European Union, as well as the non-E.U. European nations of Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein) are expected to begin opening their borders to residents of Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay. Residents of Andorra, San Marino, Monaco and the Vatican will also be allowed entry. China is on the list, “subject to confirmation of reciprocity.” So we are notifying clients who have citizenship or dual citizenship with any of the countries above as they may be allowed to travel to Europe. However, we recommend verifying with the embassy (embassies) of the country (countries) you would like to visit in Europe to find out what are the restrictions and requirements.

From July - August, our Professional Academy in Lisbon is looking for professional players from age 15+ to participate in a scouting program. Players who pass the tryout will have the opportunity play against professional teams like Benfica, Porto and other soccer clubs, as well as media exposure. Players will participate in soccer and fitness training with professional coaches until they receive a professional contract with a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer clubs. Numerous players have been signed over the years to various professional soccer clubs in Europe with the help of the academy. Athletes will also focus on their studies so they do not lose their academic progress while being away from home and will also learn Portuguese language and culture. They will also have the opportunity to be featured on a Portuguese sport channel.

The tryout will be hosted from July-August for players 15+. We will organize a one-on-one Zoom call with the International Academy Director so you can ask any questions you need about the tryout and the program
